The New Orleans Saints are keeping one of their key offensive players in the building. Wide receiver Rashid Shaheed was an Exclusive Rights Free Agent, and the Saints used their ability to tag him in order to bring him back for at least one more year.
I had some questions about Rashid Shaheed. I was told that the #Saints did tender him, which certainly was expected. He was a ERFA. Tender is 1 year for $985K. https://t.co/Ykc35VBKVp

Last season, Shaheed was voted to the Pro Bowl and was a First-Team All-Pro for his return abilities. He made strides as a receiver, too.
Shaheed finished the season with 719 yards on 46 catches with 5 touchdowns. He was the best downfield target for Derek Carr - without a doubt. Now, Shaheed will hopefully see an even larger role in the offense under Klint Kubiak this year.
